Customer Success Manager (Google Ads)

Role Overview
As a Customer Success Manager (Google Ads), you will be the strategic partner for our clients’ paid media investments. You’ll combine deep Google Ads expertise with a client-first mindset to ensure campaign success, strong adoption of paid media solutions, and measurable business outcomes. You’ll champion client needs, proactively communicate insights, and help clients maximize ROI while fostering long-term relationships.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary client success contact for a portfolio of Google Ads clients, building trust and driving strategic outcomes.
- Lead onboarding, align on client objectives, define success metrics, and setup clear expectations related to paid traffic performance.
- Review Google Ads performance regularly (e.g., CPA, ROAS, CVR, impression share) and translate data into actionable insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with the ads execution team to monitor budgets, bids, audiences, and creative performance, ensuring optimization and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular check-ins, strategic business reviews, and communication touchpoints with clients.
- Identify opportunities for upsells, account growth, expanded campaign strategies, or additional digital services.
- Troubleshoot performance issues or tracking gaps, working cross-functionally to resolve blockers in a timely manner.
- Maintain documentation, reports, playbooks, and client success resources for consistency and learning.
What We’re Looking For:
Experience & Skills
- 2+ years experience in customer success, account management, or client-facing roles focused on digital marketing or Google Ads.
- Strong working knowledge of Google Ads campaign types (Search, Display, Shopping, Performance Max, Remarketing).
- Ability to interpret performance metrics, KPIs and communicate insights in a clear, business-driven way.
- Passion for client relationship building and proactive success planning.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present confidently to clients.
- Comfortable working independently, managing multiple accounts in a remote, asynchronous environment.
Preferred:
- Prior experience working across agency or outsourced settings servicing U.S.-based clients.
- Familiarity with reporting tools (Google Analytics, Looker Studio) or CRM platforms.
- Experience influencing strategic decisions and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
